Job Description:

Position Purpose

Lead the Communications wing of the Marketing & Communications (M&C) Department at LUMS.

Develop the communications strategy in line with the marketing strategy and LUMS Brand Identity and manage all communication at and for LUMS; both for M&C and for all LUMS clients i.e. Schools and Departments.

Main Responsibilities

1. Communications Strategy

  • Assist the HoD/Manager and collaborate with the Marketing team to develop the LUMS Communication Strategy
  • Ensure that this Strategy is aligned with the LUMS marketing strategy and LUMS brand identity and is reflected across all University communications at all times, including print media, digital media, publications, press etc.

2. Manage Communication for all LUMS platforms

  • Work with the marketing and media to monitor and manage communication for all LUMS platforms; publications, digital media, traditional media etc. Ensure that the communications quality is reflective of the LUMS brand, conforms to the communications and marketing strategy and is customized to each platform and its requirements

3. LUMS Brand Guidelines

  • As the custodian of the LUMS brand, ensure religious and complete conformity with the LUMS brand guidelines by all external and external stakeholders at all times

4. Graphics and Designing

  • Manage all in-house design requirements of M&C and all internal clients. Must have design and aesthetics know-how to ensure creative and high quality designing and communication at the relevant LUMS platforms

5. LUMS News/Events

  • Manage the University homepage and news and research webpages to ensure a website that is high on marketing and informational content and on design, and reflects all university happenings and research through an attractive and efficient interface. Also make sure that all content is aligned with the SEO principles and best practices so that our website stays high on search and rankings
  • Work with the digital marketing lead on digital communication and ensure all communication is aligned with our communication goals and is best suited to the specific digital platforms and the context
