| Job Description: |
Core Responsibilities
- Own the front-end and back-end of the product with a huge amount of autonomy
- Build/design new modular, reusable components and features
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and front-end performance issues
- Participate in code reviews and ship code on daily basis
- Collaborate with a small and nimble team of engineers
Skillset:
- Front End
- Web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS
- JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, etc.
- Libraries like jQuery or Backbone.js
- Front-end (CSS) frameworks like Foundation or Bootstrap
- AJAX
- Back End
- API design and development
- CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete)
- RESTful Services
- Frameworks related to their server-side language of choice.
Requirements:
- Experience and knowledge of requirement analysis, designing, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
- Advanced knowledge of Angular
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and/or CSS
- Knowledge of and proper experience with both front-end and back-end languages
- Experience with server-side MVC web frameworks
- Experience with the AWS stack is a plus
- Experience with spatial querying is a plus
- Experience with Bash scripting and Unix-based systems is a plus
- Experience working on a large-scale production web application
- Experience with common JS libraries and modern build tools
- Passion for learning and always improving yourself and the team around you
- Experience with testing frameworks is a plus
- Experience with web applications, databases, distributed systems and statistics
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug browsers
- Quality assurance skills
- Time management and analytical skills
- Ability to perform several tasks at the same time
- Ability to translate requirements into a finished project
- Communication skills to collaborate with clients and internal development teams
- Excellent problem-solving ability
