Job Description:

CureMD’s Database Developer is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of the DEV/UAT/PROD database environment. Provides technical expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of relational database management systems (RDBMSs) that support CureMD applications.

Key Responsibilities:

· Monitor and administers DBMS security

· Create and maintain SQL Failover Clusters utilizing Windows Clustering

· Create and maintain AlwaysOn High Availability Group

· Analyzes the data stored in the database and makes recommendations relating to performance & efficiency of that data storage.

· Evaluates the effective use of indexes, enabling "Parallel Query" execution, or other DBMS specific features

· Identify potential problems and help development team on performance considerations

· Code reviews and SQL code deployments

· Recommend and maintain SQL Server configurations for production and development environments

· Work directly with the senior DBA, management staff, network administrators, developers and testers and architects

· Implement best practices in a high-production environment

· Database documentation including data standards, procedures and definitions for data dictionary. Database runbook and related technical material documentation for all database environments

Skills/Qualifications:

· BCS a minimum 3 years’ experience

· In depth knowledge of SQL Server Internals

· Knowledge on SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2016

· Proficient in Microsoft server and network technologies

· Integration Services (SSIS)

· Complex stored procedures and T-SQL writing and broad optimization skills

· TSQL specifications and variations

· Strong understanding of coding methods and best practices

· Knowledge of database security fundamentals

· Familiar with Data modeling, database optimization, understanding & implementation of schemas, and the ability to interpret & write complex SQL queries

· SQL server job automation using SQL agents

· Understanding and application of SQL Server updates

· Database administration in virtual environments like VMWare and Hyper-V

· PowerShell scripting experience

· SQL server recovery methods planning and testing
