JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develop simple to complex database solutions for OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) environments.  This experience utilizing SQL/PLSQL within an enterprise-class Relational Database Management System (RDMS) with Strong working knowledge of Oracle 12c.


• Design and develop database applications.


• Develop complex PL/SQL scripts to perform various database related tasks (Temp tables, Cursors, Functions, Procedures, Views, Performance tuning of applications and database), Indexes, Constraints, etc...)


• Design the database structure for an application.


• Estimate storage requirements for an application.


• Specify modifications of the database structures for an application.


• Establish an application's security requirements during development.


• Works with technical team to define conceptual, logical and physical data models


• Recommends and takes action to solve database or business intelligence related problems.


• Develops designs and scripts for the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from external sources.

 REQUIRED SKILLS: 

• Experience in financial and telecom domain.


• Proficient in Oracle SQL (Complex queries, Joins, Analytical functions) 


• Proficient in Oracle PL/SQL (Functions, Procedures, Triggers, Types, Packages)


• Experience in DB design and development, Create Tables, Views, Indexes and Sequences


• Performance Tuning including tuning/optimizing SQL, PL/SQL code


• Proven Development Experience in SQL and PL/SQL Programming in Oracle 12/11/10g in windows/ Unix Environment


• Experience working with development tools like TOAD/PLSQL Developer/ERWIN


• Enforced data integrity using integrity constraint and database triggers.


• Proficient in advance features of Oracle for PL/SQL programming like Using Records and Collections, Bulk Bind, Ref. Cursors, Nested tables and Dynamic SQL.


• Experience in SQL and PL/SQL tuning and query optimization tools like SQL Trace, Explain Plan, and DBMS_PROFILER.


• Use of package like DBMS_STATS, UTL_FILE, DBMS_SCHEDULER and UTL_SMTP.


• Strong knowledge with PL/SQL Wrapper to protect the PL/SQL procedures or packages.


• Use of Cubes & Rollups for making cross tabular reports.


• Use of Warehouse techniques Star Schema, Snow Flake Schema, Dimension and Fact table.


• Expertise in handling errors using Exceptions.


• Exposure & knowledge of designing logical & physical Data Model in Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).


• Experience in working high-transacted OLTP systems.


• Extensive experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle including analysis, Resource Planning, code development, testing, implementing and maintenance


• Documentation of projects for Functional Requirement Spec (FRS), Use case Spec, ER-Diagram, Test Plan, and Test Script & Test Cases.


• Have worked in fast paced AGILE environment.


• Assisted QA Teams for bug testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & System Integration Testing.

• Would be a plus with knowledge of Embedded SQL, SQLJ/Client-Side APIs/OCI and OCCI, Oracle Jdeveloper, SQL object types, Object reference types, SQL collection types.
