Job Description:

We are a dynamic, growing company (Head Office in the UK) developing advanced pricing, booking, management, & ticketing engines for the travel industry. All our solutions are delivered on a SAAS basis hosted within our own virtualized server infrastructure from datacentres in the UK and overseas, providing robust and scalable service offerings. We continue to grow in delivering new solutions to both our existing, and new customers, creating and delivering innovative, scalable, and robust software solutions to our growing customer base.

As we look to step up to the next level of growth, we are now setting up a Lahore development office, and are looking for an experienced General Manager to manage the office in Lahore. This is an opportunity to get in at the start of a fantastically exciting new step in Calrom’s growth, as we look to deliver and support our solutions to more customers over the coming years.

You will report to, and work closely with, our Pakistan Regional Directors to manage the day to day operations of the Lahore office, liaising with the UK Management Team to ensure that the Lahore office operates as a productive, fully integrated, development location within Calrom. As the team in the Lahore office are a highly skilled development team, it is expected you will have a background in software development or related technical discipline.

To succeed in our forward looking, agile business, you should have the following skills:-

  • 7+ years’ experience
  • Management of the operational needs for a software development office
  • Assist in the day to day management of a skilled technical team
  • Ability to arbitrate in the resolution of technical problems where necessary
  • Staff management skills (e.g. recruitment, appraisals, disciplinary) 
  • Excellent organisational skills, and the ability to analyse, review, and prioritise 
  • Understanding of development languages and frameworks
  • Ability to understand complex business environments & processes
  • Excellent English skills (spoken & written)
  • Experience of working for a worldwide organisation would be beneficial
